One of the problems – and there are plenty, as I’m discovering – with kicking off a “Corporate Blog” (that description’s another problem, right there) is the frequency thing. I’m used to editing to a schedule, but I’m also used to planning that schedule; and planning what’s going to happen next round here is not a very precise science – not from where I sit anyway. Hence this thing hasn’t exactly been happening as conceived, and certainly not as planned.
Happily, today a predictable thing happens: our new Chief Creative Officer, Chris Clarke arrives. Welcome Chris!

Chris brings a wealth of expectations with him – sorry, that should read experience (no pressure then, Chris ;-); and happily, he also brings a hoard of pre-existing relationships, having worked as creative chief at LBi UK predecessor Wheel until 2006.
It’s a nice day for it too – and I don’t just mean the fact that it’s not actually chucking it down with rain. September always feels like the beginning of a new year, educational cycle and all that; and the first of the month’s a great new starting date.
Perhaps – and I’m not necessarily committing to this – the new season and the arrival of a new creative head will see an injection of pace and regularity around what has been to date a pretty haphazard and desultory kick off to this blog. A blog - not a ‘corporate’ blog, I think. Not in Atlantis.
